Paqueta - the Brazilian Trevor Brooking
Similar somehow. Both unlikely looking footballers ... look like suave bank managers rather than footballers. Both quicker and more powerful than they seem - use there physicality well to get yard of space. Both with great skill and vision with eye for quarter back pass that other players don't go for. Paqueta doesn't pull off the last second crosses like Trevour did

Anyone care to argue the opinion that Trevor would be a Moyes regular?

‘Cos I wouldn’t.

Pace wise not sure how well he'd do but he'd fit right into a Moyes team on that basis alone... although his tackling back and work rate might count him out of a career under the Jock that...

Paqueta is more of a sting like a bee. Less so of a float like a butterfly. Both terrific players. But Sir Trevor was different class. And would be truly world class frightening if he was gracing the field of play. In this day and age.

The Brazilian Yossi Benayoun???

Brooking was class but a totally different player to Paqueta a Rolls Royce compared to a Maserati..

Paqueta breaks up play and moves thd ball quickly, has tricks and flicks and is tenacious..

Brooking had tricks too but just glided past players mesmerised them with his quick feet and scored a few goals too. He would dominate games something we're just starting to see Paqueta do do let's keep our fingers crossed that the Brazilian can become Brookingesque ...

Trevour?
At least you didnt spell it Trevoh like that Chalobah bloke at Chelsea who has culturally appropriated Shirley Temples hairstyle

Brooking was so good he has a stand named after him. The best player consistently that I’ve ever seen at West Ham. If Paqueta maintains the level of performances that we’ve seen so far after a £50m plus spend he might if he’s lucky get his name on one of the toilet blocks in the bowl.

The Brazillian Brooking?

Bit like saying Shakin Stevens was the Welsh Elvis.

Re: Paqueta - the Brazilian Trevour Brooking
He’s getting better each game, can certainly pick a pass, starting to get some bite in the tackle, center of the Brazil midfield.

He doesn;t have time to match Brooking’s career but he’s starting to get used to the English game.

Sad we’re unlikely to see him and,Rice coming into their own as they seem to be getting better together as time goes on.
